Building assets in children is not a project or program. It is a journey that should take place during the developmental years (ages 0-20) of all children.

Centralized Reporting Hotline Training

Wednesday July 14, 2010

8:00am-10:30am

Northeast Indiana Public Safety Academy

Please join Judge Charles F. Pratt, Allen Superior Court, Family Relations Division  and Great KIDS make Great COMMUNITIES, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services Allen County Office for an important training on the New Centralized Reporting Hotline .

Beginning July 28, 2010, all reports of suspected child abuse or neglect will be communicated to the Indiana Department of Child Services via a centralized hotline. The past practice of direct communication with a local case manager will no longer be possible.  It is extremely important that information shared with the hotline is well communicated to prevent accidental screen-outs.

To help share this vital information with the community,  we will host a workshop provided by Michelle Savieo, Allen County's local Director of the Department of Child Services, who will explain the new statewide procedure.

The training will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 8:00-10:30am at the Northeast Indiana Public Safety Academy, 7602 Patroit Crossing, Fort Wayne, IN.  The Public Safety Academy is located at the former Southtown Mall, behind the new Menards/Walmart complex on State Road 27 South. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:00am, presentation will start promptly at 8:30am.

To register for this event, please contact us via email at info@greatkidsallencounty.org or (260) 449-7272.
