This training is for communities ready to embark on a plan to implement FGDM. It provides foundational knowledge on FGDM history, philosophies, values, and process.
At the conclusion of this training, participants will: understand the role of the coordinator/facilitator in preparing and supporting parents, family members, social workers, and others in a strengths-based process; recognize strategies to empower and involve family members and others during the FGDM process; realize the rich international and national history of FGDM in resolving child abuse and neglect concerns; and describe the various elements of the FGDM process, including preparation, the four phases of the FGDM conference, and follow-up activities.
